libgavl1-dbg software package provides debugging symbols for libgavl1, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgavl1-dbg
libgavl1-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgavl1-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgavl1-dbg *
